Essence cosmetics Exit to Explore Trend Edition
Hello, sweeties! How is your weekend so far?
It's been ages since I've posted about drugstore makeup, more specifically about Essence Cosmetics limited edition collections. I keep myself informed of all the new releases and nothing seemed interesting enough lately. Until last week, when I spotted "Exit to Explore" collection and found it so cute that I decided to pick a few items, and today I'd love to share them with you.

Essence cosmetics is one of my drugstore beloved brands. I don't shop much from their permanent range, although a few of their products are really good and price wise unbeatable, like their waterproof eyeliners, their nailpolishes, topcoats and basecoats, and the matte nude lippies, among others. However, when it comes to their limited edition collections, I'm always attracted like a bee to honey. The products on the Trend Editions are often hit or miss, but their packaging is so irresistibly cute! "Exit to explore" collection was not an exception to that rule, with the packaging decorated with tropical flowers, fruits and birds is simply enchanting.

I picked one of the three eyeshadows, which is called #01 You can, Toucan  and is a taupe-y brown with a hint of olive green. It is a very wearable shade, honestly, its pigmentation is decent  but nothing to write home about. It claims to have a "holographic" effect, I'm not sure what that is suppose to mean, but it is true the shade shows a subtle colour shift in the pan, turning a bit green or turquoise, but for me that is not very visible on the lids. The shadow has a satiny finish, it has absolutely no fall out and it is easy to blend. I find it lasts well 8 hours without creasing or fading over my usual primer.

The blush in this collection also caught my eye. The blush #01 My Heart's beating like a jungle drum  is matte and has two shades a soft peachand a bubblegum pink, and both colours are in the same pan with a gradient! How gorgeous is this blush and it costs under 5CHF! The blush is not very pigmented and will only work with light complexions, but just because of the packaging I had to pick it!

Last but not least, I got a green nail polish, #01 Liana's in the jungle and some tatoos (which I picked thinking that wear nail decals -oops-) #01 fell the jjungle vibes that now I don't really know what to do with, haha. The nail polish is a total HIT. It is a great one, the colour is amazing, and I don't own any similar green, thumbs up!

Do you ever get hooked by Essence's Trend editions and their packaging? What other drugstore brands are irresistible for you?

Now, let's chat a bit about the upcoming blogging week! Are you bored of seeing my Monday Shadow challenge's posts every Monday? I wasn't very inspired by the colour this week, can you guess what that might be?, Anyways, I have a makeup look to share with you tomorrow, we shall see if you like it or not. On Tuesday, I want to share with you a special skin care routine that I've been doing to address my skin problem. On Wednesday, I will be reviewing my current foundation, which is new to me! Then, I'll show you three things I hated from a brand I usually love! That'll be up on Thursday. Finally, on Friday, a new nail art for the Challenge, that will remind you today's post ;)

Have a great Sunday and stay tuned!
Love,
Nati
