Hello, lovelies! Happy weekend!
Have you planned anything fun for today? My weekend started a little awkwardly but also with very pleasant moments.

Yesterday morning I had a pretty nasty fall, I slipped so awkwardly with one carpet at home that wasn't secure, and I was wearing flip-flops, I actually flipped in the air and landed on my coccyx :O I spent most of the day...
bearing my pain and trying to convince myself that "it would eventually go away". I cancelled the playground afternoon with my children and one of his friends that came to play with us and stay indoors despite the beautiful weather :(. I could barely move so I didn't want to take risks. When my hubby came back home in the evening he suggested to take me to the ER just to check if I didn't break anything. We left the kids with their grandpa and went to the MZB (Medizinisches Zentrum Biel), only ten minutes walk from home. They have a very modern and well-equipped Emergency Room that I was visiting for the first time, I phoned before going and said I was coming. They were waiting for me and they took me in immediately. Ten minutes later they made me pass through X-ray, and the doctor came with the results 10 minutes later!! It was so quick! We went back home with the great news that nothing was broken but because of the contusion that was going to hurt quite a bit for one week at least. After such great news, I thought it would be a good idea to go out for dinner as I had seen there was a Street Food Festival going on at two minutes walk from home (I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to live downtown!)

We had a wonderful time yesterday evening at the Street Food Festival here in Biel, there is such a large choice of deliciousness! If the children weren't so tired we would have stayed a little longer. The Street Festival will be on until Sunday afternoon, so if you are near Biel, do not miss it! There you can find of course grilled specialities, burgers, crepes, baked potatoes, Taiwanese, Pakistanese, Chinese, Latin American (of course Mexican!!), specialities, but I also spotted some Hungarian and some quite exotic delicatessen I've never tried in my life! You can simply go to the stand you wish and order from them or go to the central stand and buy a "testing ticket" then you can tour the whole festival and get a sample of each speciality!! What a wonderful idea! You can get a glimpse of the Festival on my Instagram Stories.

Ok, after this long story-telling moment, it's time for NAIL ART! I have prepared a manicure for today's Nail Art Challenge, which is "Creatures with scales". I came up with a "Mermaid" inspired manicure, I hope you like it!

To create my manicure I used this beautiful Essie nail polish as a base. This is such a gorgeous colour I almost felt bad to cover it up with nail designs. Such a stunning colour! But I will have other occasions to wear it alone.

Once my base was dry, I used a layered stamping technique. I chose an image with scales in one of my BornPrettyStore stamping plates. I stamped first with black, and then with gold.
On my ring fingernail I used a glitter topper by Zoya and stick a few clear rhinestones to it. I quite like the final result!

These are the products and Items I used:

  • Essie Nail Polish "Blue-tiful horizon"
  • Born Pretty Store Stamping Polish Black
  • Maybelline Forever strong nail polish #820 gold (discontinued)
  • Born Pretty Store Stamping plate BP-109
  • Zoya nail polish "Monet" (glitter on clear base)
  • Born Pretty Store clear rhinestones in different sizes.

That was it! I hope you like my new manicure. Please, go pay a visit to my challenge mates to see more manicures about "creatures with scales"!!

Love,
Nati
