Shopping my stash │Blue Lagoon Makeup Look with Dior

Hello, lovelies! Happy Monday!

This weekend has been so busy! We will be leaving soon for a summer vacation and I'm trying to have everything ready in advance and see if this time I can have our bags packed the day before departure, lol. I have thought to take a break from blogging while we are away, but then I decided I was going to keep posting but at a lower pace. So I've prepared enough makeup looks and manicures to keep this spot alive during the rest of July and the beginning of August, but there won't be any review or skincare blog post until we come back. That means that I will be posting "only" twice per week, not bad for a vacation right?!

Today, it's time for a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge!  This month I've been playing with Dior 5 Couleurs #374 Blue Lagoon, which I think is perfect for summer and light colourful looks or more sophisticated ones. Today I'm showing you one the looks I've created with it, I hope you like it :)

Last Spring I cleaned up a bit my makeup collection and ditched lots of stuff that smelled weird, were filthy or broken. I came to the realisation the I had a lot of items (especially high-end stuff) barely used, or NEVER used, still in their original packaging!! Especially the high-end eyeshadow quads and quints: Here take a look!

I know... Those items were needing LOVE a.s.a.p.

I decided to start this new series of posts here on the blog that would allow me to commit to "Shopping my stash", which means going through products I own instead of buying new ones. I have decided that each month I would pick an eyeshadow quad or quint from my collection and use it during the whole month. The month of June I've been playing with Dior 5 Couleurs #374 Blue Lagoon and today I share with you one of the looks I came up with.

Dior 5 Couleurs #374 Blue Lagoon

Dior 5 Couleurs #374 Blue Lagoon was part of The "Birds of Paradise" Limited Edition collection launched in 2013! This quint is 5 years old, and although I used it quite a few times it looks still pretty much new. I have already featured this quint on my blog here

The palette I've chosen to use in July has a medium/dark satin Teal in the center, a matte sky blue, and three shimmery shades varying from teal to turquoise. I think these colours are great for summer, because you can add a bit of fun colour without much effort to any look.

As usual, I am not trying to encourage you to buy anything with this post, more trying to INSPIRE you to use more what you already have and buy less
This palette is not very versatile, as most of the colours are in the same hue, but I think the blues and green can be a fun option for the month of july.

I have used this palette during July and I'm planning to take it with me on vacation to keep using it the whole month. My favourite looks are when I combine these colours with some warm browns.
