Hello, my sweeties! How are you today?
I am thrilled to announce the new Neo-pearl Collection by OPI* for Spring 2020 that will be launching at the end of April 2020! I've been trying all the colours and today I'm here to show you the swatches and share my opinion about the formulation with you!! This is a collection inspired by the delicacy and beauty of pearls, so it is super sophisticated and feminine. Keep reading to find out what each colour looks like on the nails and what was my experience applying and wearing six of the twelve new nail polishes. ♥♥♥

The  Neo-pearl Collection by OPI consists of twelve colour of nail polish, of incredible pearlescent and mother of pearl looking finishes, the colours are ideal for spring, they are super feminine and they would be great for wedding season... Although, that's a bit disturbed right now for the current pandemic situation.

"Illuminate fingers and toes with the new Neo-Pearl Collection by OPI! This collection includes 12 shades in iridescent pinks, purples, blues and nudes. Neo-Pearl brings together natural translucence and luminosity for a soft and modern update to the metallic nail trend.
From accessories to textiles, pearls are making a reappearance on runways and red carpets in unexpected, non-traditional ways. The pearl’s influence is seen in each shade. Its whimsical and feminine qualities combine with bold chrome undertones for elegantly radiant hues. Soothing elements from land and sea lend hints of icy blues and greens to iridescent shades. Classic nudes are infused with notes of blush, rose and lilac for a sophisticated twist on these wearable favorites.

"Pearls will always be a classic, but this Neo-Pearl Collection offers a refresh that’s totally chic and modern – and updates the formerly trending chrome and metallic look,” declares OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “We are seeing pearls resonate as a key design influence and inspiration, and I’m excited to translate that style into something wearable for nails."

"Luminous, glowing, luster – these are words we’ve been chasing after in our beauty regimens for years. Finally, we’re bringing the look to nails,” remarks OPI Global Director of Color Collections Jill Bartoshevich. “Hero shades Shellabrate Good Times! [available in Nail Lacquer and GelColor formulas] and Glisten Carefully! [available in Infinite Shine formula] are fresh takes on traditional ivory and lilac – two hues that are always on trend for spring."

Bottom Line

This collection is the epitome of delicacy and romanticism! I love how elegant the colours are, they are suitable for important occasions, office appropriate and very sophisticated.
All polishes were easy to apply, as usual, these are not meant to be fully opaque colours, they are a bit translucent to allow the light to play and give that iridescence quality to the colors. That being said, I prefer most colours applied with three coats, but you can, of course, wear only one coat and sport a sheer but lovely look! I had no difficulties of application, there is a great consistency in the formulation, as all the colours apply very similarly, without brushstrokes and drying quite fast.

This collection of OPI fits its name perfectly, I think of pearls when I look at my nails without fail! Colours like "Glisten Carefully!", "I’m a Natural" or "Olive for Pearls" are the Must-have nail coloursfrom the collection in my opinion, lilac, blush and peridot green!
