I have been playing with my recent purchases at Chanel's counter. I was very hesitant whether buy the new 5 colour palette, and the rest of the collection, but I was sure and certain this little guy would come home wiht me. This is Chanel Illusion d'ombre 837 Fatal and it is a gorgeous, sublime, plum shade with red undertones and the most beautiful microshimmer ever.

Yes, Illusion d'ombre are glitzy and shimmering, nothing matte here. My opinion about the colour is not very objective because I'm crazy for this shade, so I'm just going to let the pictures speak for me, and then talk about the texture and application.

Fatal is a gorgeous shade, thought I have some similar red based plums, this one is unique in my stash. I have done a quick comparison for you:

Formula and texture are simply divine. If you already own an Illusion d'ombre you know it. If you're new to the product let me introduce it to you. Illusion d'ombre is a cream eyeshadow. Or I should say is the queen of all cream eyeshadows I've ever tested. It's very pigmented, but it's also docile and you can have as much or as little as you wish, you can have it as liner and it's the only cream eyeshadow I own that can be perfectly applied using brushes. The texture is soft, creamy and light as a dream. I love how easily it blends and how it hovers on fine lines without making them more obvious. Plus it's really long lasting.

I could not wait one second to do a look wearing Fatal, even if it was quite late in the evening, I took the pictures under artificial light. I hope you don't mind.
