Hello sweeties!
I have been trying to create makeup looks with all of my chosen pieces for the Season's Makeup Challenge. I've challenged myself  to finish up a certain number of makeup items by the end of Spring. This little sweet lipgloss is a part of the challenge and the chosen lippy of the week!
I like the matte lips trend that we have been living the past couple of years (is that "The" trend for this decade?) in fact I own many matte lipsticks and lip creams, but I am A GLOSS GIRL AT HEART! Yes I am, and no fashion can do anything about it, I still love wearing a glossy lip although it looks so 2010...

Among my favorites for Spring there is this sweet, bright, and budget friendly NYX Butter gloss in Apple Strudel. Yes, the name is a little misleading. I don't know what colour apple strudel may be in California, but around here it is certainly not bright peach  XD

NYX Butter gloss in Apple Strudel is semi-sheer bright peach lipgloss that belongs to the permanent range of the brand, so to my knowledge, it can still be found

It has a soft shade that is warm and enlightens complexion a bit, so it is flattering in general for warmer complexions. Although I've seen this shade on very neutral skin tones and liked it a lot. So you certainly need to try before you decide this colour is right for you.

It applies very smoothly and semi-sheer. If you want to apply a second coat for more opaqueness as I did for these pictures, you need to be very careful, as the product consistency tends to be on the thick side, the wand drags it a bit leaving bold spaces. It feels very moisturising, almost like a balm. It doesn't last very long on the lips, and I need to re apply frequently (every 1 or 2 hours).
This lippy has a very pleasant and sweet scent, that doesn't bother me, but I know it can be bothering for some people.

Apple Strudel is typically my kind of shade for lipgloss, maybe a tad brighter than I would normally choose, but definitly the hue of peach I like. What do you think?

Please don't mind my hair! In these pictures taken earlier this spring my hair was still in the process of growing out after the huge hair loss I had after giving birth last year. There is no much I could do since my new hair was around 6-7 cm long and totally unmanageable! I'm glad I decided to have it cut a couple of weeks ago ;)

Other products I used for this look:

- Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Cream
- Maybelline Fit me concealer #20
- Benefit They're Real mascara
- NYX eyebrow cake powder (dark)
- NYX Butter gloss in Apple Strudel

Do you still wear lipglosses? Which are your favorite brands or shades for this kind of product?

Love,
Nati
