Hello, my lovelies! Happy Friday!
I hope you all had a great week and planning a fun weekend. I was feeling under the weather this week and had tweak a bit my posting schedule. I ended up publishing my review on OPI Iceland collection on Wednesday, instead of Tuesday and this makeup post comes unusually on Friday instead. But I did not want the week to end without sharing with you the August edition of my newest monthly series "Shopping my stash". This series of posts is dedicated to showing some love to makeup products of my own collection instead of buying new. I am rediscovering products that I haven't used in a while and for the month of August I've been playing with YSL Palette Bleus Lumière, which I haven't used in a while. I am also showing you a look I created with it. Keep reading to find out :)
Last Spring I cleaned up a bit my makeup collection and ditched lots of stuff that smelled weird, were filthy or broken. I came to the realisation the I had a lot of items (especially high-end stuff) barely used, or NEVER used, still in their original packaging!! Especially the high-end eyeshadow quads and quints: Here take a look!
I know... Those items were needing LOVe a.s.a.p.
I decided to start this new series of posts here on the blog that would allow me to commit in "Shopping my stash", which means going through products I own instead of buying new, and using them for a while. I have decided that each month I would pick an eyeshadow quad or quint from my collection and use it during the whole month. The month of August I've been playing with YSL Palette Bleus Lumière and today I share with you one of the looks I came up with.
YSL Palette Bleus Lumière
YSL Palette Bleus Lumière was a limited Edition that launched in summer 2014. It is a gorgeous palette, with an unusually bold colour combination that makes it quite versatile. The colours are all beautifully pigmented there is a midnight blue with a satin finish, a medium teal blue with a satin finish, a light cyan blue with shimmer, a bold shimmery copper and a light appricot with a semi matte sheer finish.
This palette was featured in two blogposts where I also show you the swatches, you can check it here and here. But somehow, I haven't used it in a very long time and I thought the summery colours in it would be perfect for the month of August.

I have used only this palette for most of the month of August (except for the looks I had to do for reviews and challenges here in the blog or Instagram). There is one particular look that I loved so I recreated it to share it with you.

I have loved using this palette again, I feel some of the shades are so nice to use in combination with other palettes I own, I think I will be reaching for it more frequently in the future.
What about you? Is there any piece of makeup in your beautycase that is not getting enough love? Let me know in the comments!
