Hello my "lovely" readers & friends!  Today I'm doubly-excited, because 1) It's FRIDAY! wiiii! and 2) I have for you the swatches of the Zoya Lovely Collection!!

We've had an awful week here, weather wise, rain, snow, wind, and more snow. I had been hoping so hard for a ray of sunshine to photograph these beauties, and yesterday I had a little bit of it! (like 10 minutes, lol!) So it went like this: 30 seconds of sun among the clouds-5 minutes of rain- sun-snow-wind-sun-rain, and so on. I would paint my nails as quick as possible, grab the camera, and wait patiently next to the window, and snap the shot as soon as a shy ray would come out (I felt a little bit like a sniper!). As the sun was out, I frenetically removed one colour and painted the other not to miss the light!! The bad thing  was: no time for base coat or topcoat, not even for waiting the polish to dry, so you might see some "accidents", very little time for clean-up, so excuse my "shimmery cuticles" lol. The good thing was, I did gain some time! I've never swatch so fast before, it took me like 20 minutes to swatch all 6 polishes! :D

Ok, enough of me babbling, it's time for the swatches!(remember you can enlarge all pictures by clicking on them!)

First is Zoya Julie:
Zoya Julie
Zoya Julie
This is a gorgeous lavender with shimmer. The formula was perfect, not too thin or too thick, it needed two coats to look this opaque. I do not own any similar shade, this colour is quite balanced and mine lean too blue or too red.

Next is Gie Gie :
Zoya Gie Gie
Zoya Gie Gie
This is a gorgeous shade of light pink with same kind of shimmer Julie has (I guess Zoya played same shimmer/different base colour in this collection). The formula was very similar to the formula on  Julie, but I found it a little thicker. It took two coats to get it opaque. Again, this is unique in my collection.

Following shade is Piaf:

I was expecting to like this one more than I did. This shade of yellow is totally unique in my collection (I do not own many yellow polishes, but I can't remember seeing a similar shade anywhere and I read a LOT of blogs!). Anyway, as much as I find it very interesting, it looks pretty odd next to my skin tone. I'm not sure I'll keep this one. Same shimmer than the previous two shades. Nice formula and easy application, more on the thick side but nothing unmanageable.

Now is the turn of the crèmes:
Zoya Blu:
Zoya Blu
Zoya Blu
This is the palest shade of baby blue. So delicate and pretty. The formula was a little troublesome. I did rush it a little, though. It's a little too thick to my taste and a bit streaky. But it evens out nicely in three thin coats. This one is not unique in my collection. In fact I own a dead on dupe!! It's Essie Borrowed & blue. I shall do a comparison for you soon.

The following crème is Jacqueline:

can you see the subtle shimmer?
This was a total surprise for me. I really thought this shade would never work out with my skin tone. But once on the nail I LOVE it. I do not think that gives me the "lobster hands" do you? I really am in love with this shade, and I'm not a nude shades lover! What's wrong with me! lol! The formula on this one was not the best. As Zoya Blu, it was a little thick and streaky. But it looked perfect with three thin coats. Plus, this is definitely unique in my collection!

Last, but not least Zoya Neely:

Zoya Neely
Zoya Neely
Here you are a GORGEOUS shade of green, with the slightest hint of blue (in my pictures it definitely looks more blue than it irl). Neely is absolutely unique in my collection! Not even one close relative what so ever! It was also a DREAM to apply. The formula is exactly as I expect a cream should apply, not too thick or too thin. I did rush the application, because sunlight was leaving, It would look its best with three thin coats, but I did two.

Overall:
I was surprise with this collection because I was sure I was going to like the shimmers most. Well, let me tell you, my two absolutely favourite shades are Jacqueline and Neely. Surprised?
I have a negative point to mention and it's about BRUSHES. They're thinner than I'd like, specially for the pastel crèmes, which are known for being streaky. Am I too used to wide brushes? What do you think of Zoya's brushes?

Please, don't be shy and let me know your opinion! Do you have any favourites? Have you pick any of these already?
I wish you a great weekend!
Love,
Nati
