Hello, sweeties! How are you today? Are you enjoying the beautiful sunny weather? I surely am!
It's time for a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge. This month I've been playing with Dior 5 couleurs #434 Peacock, which is a beautiful palette with different green colours, that are ideal for spring and summer look, fresh and fun, or very sophisticated! Today I'm showing you one the looks I've created with it, I hope you like it :)

Last Spring I cleaned up a bit my makeup collection and ditched lots of stuff that smelled weird, were filthy or broken. I came to the realisation the I had a lot of items (especially high-end stuff) barely used, or NEVER used, still in their original packaging!! Especially the high-end eyeshadow quads and quints: Here take a look!

I know... Those items were needing LOVE a.s.a.p.

I decided to start this new series of posts here on the blog that would allow me to commit to "Shopping my stash", which means going through products I own instead of buying new ones. I have decided that each month I would pick an eyeshadow quad or quint from my collection and use it during the whole month. The month of April I've been playing with Dior 5 Couleurs Peacock Quint and today I share with you one of the looks I came up with.

Dior 5 couleurs #434 Peacock quint

Dior 5 Couleurs #434 Peacock was launched for Summer 2013 as part of the "Birds of Paradise" collection which was a Limited Edition (LE). Back in 2013 I got the Blue Lagoon palette, which is also part of this collection but more on the teal and turquoise shades, I reviewed that palette here. I wanted to buy both palettes that time, but they were quite expensive, so I decided to get only the blue one. Six months later, in a big sale, I saw the Peacock palette with a -60% off and I didn't think twice, it came home with me. I never really reviewed it here in the blog, but it is a fantastic quality and beautiful summery colours. The shades have a satin finish that makes it very elegant and nice looking even on older skin (like mine). Ultra matte colours often enphasize wrinkles and fine lines, whereas ultra shimmery colours are a bit "too much" for everyday looks. Subtle satin finishes like this one, are ideal and look very chic!
As usual, I am not trying to encourage you to buy anything with this post, more trying to INSPIRE you to use more what you already have and buy less

This palette was featured in a blog post where I show you a look created with it here. This palette is a special one, maybe not your everyday palette unless you don't mind a bit of colours. It is quite wearable for me, because of the very light blue and green shades you can create  very subtle colour looks, which are sweet for every day. But you can also choose something a bit more sophisticated as the look I am showing you today.

I have used this palette every day of April and I will continue to use it! I even took it with me to Barcelona and had fun creaiting colourful looks with it. This is one of the looks I liked the most, combining the green eyeshadow with coral lipstick and coral blusher, I think it gives a very "tropical" vibe, do't you think?

Would you wear green eyeshadow? I'm curious to know your answer!!

Love,
Nati
