I was so impatient to write this post, as I have owned the "Born to Run" eyeshadow palette for such a long time now and I never got to show you any makeup done with it!! I got this palette at the beginning of last year, but I haven't used it much, what a pity! It is a gorgeous palette suitable for every season and every occasion. Today, I've created a warm summer makeup look with it, I'm also giving you my personal opinion on the palette :) I hope you like it!

I'm officially knackered, after having too much wine last night and a romantic evening with the hubby, I only got 4 hours of sleep and spent most of my Monday wandering around trying to remember "what was I going to do" and falling asleep in every corner! Definitely, this kind of things isn't for me anymore! LOL, I need my good night of sleep to be somewhat productive! What about you? what is your minimum required sleeping? Mine would be 5h30, anything under that and I'm a zombie!
As every Monday, I have a new makeup look to show you. This week, the Monday Shadow Challenge combines "Burgundy" and "Green", not to criticize the organizer of this challenge, but it seems to me we've been having Burgundy as a colour a little too often! I am not going to lie, I like a nice sexy burgundy lip in winter, but I've done this three times this year already! I wanted to change things up little and REALLY CHALLENGE MYSELF UP! So this time I created a look it's totally NOT MY STYLE. This is so out of my comfort zone I even hesitated to publish here, but HEY! What kind of challenge would that be if that was easy? So here it goes my look with GREEN LIPS! I hope you find it interesting!

How was your weekend? Ours was pretty quiet, a normal Saturday of chores and I spent a very cold Sunday indoors mainly blogging, preparing new looks to share with you!
Today, for the Monday Shadow Challenge I've created a look with an unusual combination of "Lavender" and "Khaki" and I used a very original lilac lipstick. I hope you like it!

I haven't posted on a Monday for the first time in YEARS! Our Autumn-school-break just started and I guess it was kind of a disorganized day for this mama, so there was no post, oops!
But, you are not getting rid of me that easily, and today I'm here to catch up! Yes, although it's a bit weird to call this post "Monday... anything", for obvious reasons, this is my makeup challenge of the week for the "Monday Shadow Challenge". We were asked to create a look using "Indigo" and "Dusty rose", two lovely colours for makeup in my opinion! This is what I came up with, I hope you like it!

We are still enjoying our three-day weekend, we are about to go out for a picnic with the kids, relax and enjoy ourselves. Is it also a bank holiday where you live today?
Today's Monday Shadow Challenge is more than bold, totally crazy! We ought to combine Coral and neon pink. I definitely don't use this colours a lot, not on a day to day basis, not even rarely, it was a real challenge for me, I look at my picture and I don't recognize my style!! But I suppose that's fine for pushing my boundaries and doing things outside of my comfort zone. So today I give you two clever tips on how to wear neon colours on your makeup for a party, festival, or just to have fun! One is how to create your own DIY neon eyeliner, and the other is how to wear neon lipstick in a more subtle way. Without further ado, let's take a look.

Did you enjoy your weekend? I had a little mishap on Friday (as you might have read in my previous post) but I had nothing broken, I could keep up with our weekend as planned. It was quite a foody weekend, if you've been checking my Instagram Stories you may know we attended the Street Food Festival... ehem... three days in a row, lol. Well, It's not my fault if they decided to organize a food festival just 2 minutes walk from my doorstep, and I could even smell the delicious food just opening my window! Are you a "foodie" type of person?
As every Monday it is time for Makeup! This week the Monday Shadow Challenge chose the colours "emerald green and grey" for us to play with. Emerald green is my favourite shade of green in life, but for makeup it is a little difficult to wear as it is very bright and hard to combine with other colours. But I accepted the challenge and tried my best to make it work, let's see the result!

I hope you all had a lovely long weekend and that you have celebrated, for those who do, Easter in joy and peace. We still have one day off today (YAY!!) as we celebrate "Easter Monday" today. So I'm writing this while waiting for our friends to join us this evening for a movie night with the children. We will stay at home watching a children's movie with them and let them eat everything that is usually forbidden (potato chips, popcorn, chocolate, candy, etc). My boy (6) is so excited about it, he has spent the whole day planning where and how each guest will seat and how we will place their drinks and food. He's got a great potential as the perfect host! We will be watching Coco (not sure what this is called in English, sorry!). I'm sure that will be a nice evening for a Monday ;)
Well, time for Makeup now! Today, I have a striking look to share with you for the Monday Shadow Challenge. The colours this week are "dark purple and turquoise" se get ready to see some really bold shades!

I hope you all had a nice weekend! I didn't do anything special, I blogged and rested most of it. The rainy weather was a perfect excuse for cuddling with the hubby, with the kids on top. Yeah, it seems that's automatic, when mummy and dad hug each other, the kids jump on top like puppies! Is it the case for you too? We are huggers, I think that's a good thing, once I read that a human being needs hugs to be happy, it was something like "We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth." I don't know if it's true, but usually, my weekends start with two little children coming to my bedroom, jumping into my bed to wake me up with a hug and it's one of the best things of my life. What about you? Are you a hugger?
Well, you know what comes now... It's makeup time! Let's bring a touch of bold colours to brighten up such a gloomy, windy and rainy Monday! Today's makeup for the Monday Shadow Challenge combines "purple and royal blue". The result is ELECTRIC!

How was your weekend? We had planned to have major fun with friends (for once!) but then my lil'gal got sick and had to cancel our plans. What can you do? Little children are like that.
Anyway, I'm very excited today I'll be packing for our so awaited Fall vacation. We don't leave until Saturday, but I find packing early with young children is more practical, so I'm sure they won't be wearing stuff I'm planning to take with us, that saves me from having to do the laundry 1 hour before departure, LOL. What about you? do you pack in advance or last minute?
As every Monday, it's time for a new makeup look. I've been doing more or less "conventional looks" for quite some time now, and I wanted to try something different for today, something bolder. Well, the outcome it's not quite what I expected, but for a bold you have to admit, it is bold, LOL. The"Monday Shadow Challenge" is always trying to make us think out of the box and today challenge is to create an Autumn look using "pale rose and sunflower yellow". I must admit it was difficult to find an idea but in the end I really loved this combo!

I'm super excited because in a few days we'll be leaving for our summer vacation! Wii! I'm so impatient! Today is my last day in Argentina :-( In a couple of hours I'll be heading to the airport to take my first flight for the long, long , loooooong trip back home. The end of a vacation is always hard to overcome so I supposed a little makeup chat would cheer me up. Today I'd love to show you my Urban Decay Gwen Stefani lipstick in 714.
July Makeup Bag: the heat is on
Since I live in Switzerland I have never experience a heat like this. If you, like me, were born in a country with long, humid and torrid Summers, then you know perfectly 36°C is not the worse that can happen, but Switzerland is not prepared for this kind of temperatures. The city, the houses, the shops, the transport means, all are a trap for heat! perfectly designed to maintain the warmth and save heating energy during the long Winters, but not at all suitable for hot summers.
In this kind of situation, I try to manage in order to avoid my makeup sliding off of my face, without having to buy special products. If you keep reading you'll find out how I do it.
