Nail Art │ Galaxy Nail Design [Nail Crazies Unite]
Jun 30, 2018
Happy weekend, lovelies!
Today is going to be a super Saturday! My hubby is taking me to the Open Air Opera concert in Avenches this evening! I am an opera lover and it's been so long since I went to the theatre (or anywhere really) to see one. In fact, this won't be exactly an opéra but a mix of famous opera Airs from different composers, interpreted by some of the greatest opera singers. I'm reeeeeally excited! This Opera festival is so special to me because it takes place in the ancient ruins of one of the Oldest Roman Amphiteatres in Switzerland. The whole city of Avenches is a historic gem and the amphitheatre has a special magic. He reserved places on the bleachers, were we used to go when we were young! The magic of it all is that you can go early and bring your own picnic. Eat your dinner while admiring the sun setting behind the imposing walls of the Amphitheatre. Then, when you think it couldn't get any more romantic, the orchestra starts playing and the most beautiful music invades the atmosphere. The bleachers are the cheapest seats. But I think those are the best! Firstly, these are gradins, not chairs, so you can be very close to your partner, or even cuddling. This is totally impossible in the stalls. You also have a beautiful view of all the amphitheatre and you are not as far from the scene as in the circle, which are more expensive seats. Also, as I mentioned, you can picnic comfortably and you can dress casually, which you can't do when you get seats in the "posh" area. The tickets were hs gift for mother's day and I must say they are the most beautiful present ever! If you want to keep up with us during the visit to Avenches, take a peek at our picnic and to the concert, please, be sure to follow my Instagram Stories!
Well, Into nail art! Today, the Nail Crazies Unite prompted us to create a "galaxy" manicure, so here is what I came up with, I hope you like it!
Shopping my stash │Plum and Coral Makeup Look with Chanel
Jun 28, 2018
Hello, lovelies! How are you today?
It's time for a new edition of my "shopping my stash" challenge! This month I've been playing with Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow #34 Eclosion, but before we get ther I'd like to share with you something that happened to me today.
Something happened today, that was totally unexpected. I was working at home this morning when someone rang the bell. Let me tell you first, nobody ever rings the bell in the morning. So that was already quite unexpected. But I remembered seeing this morning a truck parked in front of our building because our neighbour on the first floor is moving out. So, I imagined

Nail Art │ Graffiti Nails [26 Great Nail Art Ideas]
Jun 23, 2018
Hello, lovelies! Happy weekend!
Today the "26 Great Nail art Ideas Challenge" prompts us to create a "Graffiti" nail art. I wasn't sure what to do, and I haven't had time to paint my nails all week and I was ready to skip this challenge. Two hours ago, sadi to myself let's google graffiti nail art and see what can be doen. But all the cool designs I found were very sohpisticated and required free-hand painting skill that I dont' have! While thinking how to make this nail art the easy way, I thought I would try some layered stamping, and see what it resulted. If the result wouldn't be horrendous, then I'll post it.
Well, I'm not terribly happy with the result of my manicure, but I don't think it's hideous. I just suck at freehand painting! LOL.
Makeup │ Mauve, Blue and Duochorme Gold for the Sign of Cancer [Zodiac Makeup Challenge]
Jun 21, 2018
Summer Time, and the living is eaaaasy! Well, not yet... I know, we are all dreaming, hoping, wishing for a summer break, I know! There are still a couple of weeks to go until school summer break begins in Switzerland. In the meantime, Let's enjoy the World Cup!!
Today's is Argentina's second match and it's something I wouldn't miss for the World. As an expat, this is YET another opportunity to bathe my children in some Argentinian sports culture. This time Italy (my husband's home country) did not qualify for the Cup, so we only have one team to support. I'm less enthusiastic than the last time in 2014, when Argentina reached the Final and lost against Germany, I really thought we could win the cup! This year I see our team is not so well prepared and our coach is not the smartest. So I need to be thinking who to support in case Argentina doesn't make it past the first round. I really like Mexico's performance until now! What about you? do you watch the World Cup? Who do you support?
Now, let's get into makeup! I have created a new makeup look for the "Zodiac challenge"! As you know, I'm showing more love to the makeup I own instead of buying new items and I challenged myself to create twelve different looks with the BHCosmetics Zodiac palette, one for each sign. The palette has two beautiful colours for "Cancer" zodiac sign and today I used those to create this colourful shifting colour makeup. I hope you like it!

Hello, sweeties! Happy Monday!
We had an AWESOME weekend! You know how I love meeting with friends and on Saturday we had a baptism. My hubby was godfather to his best friend's daughter and it was such a wonderful day. The weather was delicious, warm and breezy, the religious ceremony was intimate and lovely, the venue was amazing! You know when everything is sooo perfect you need to be pinched to know if it's real? My kids had a blast with their friends, we enjoyed so much! We even got to watch some bits of Argentina-Iceland match after the meal, which unfortunately didn't end up as I hoped ;)
On Sunday, we went out to a lovely restaurant by the BielerSee (Lake of Biel) to celebrate my father in law's 76th birthday. The food was de-li-cious and of course we over-eat... well, you can't always have everything under control, right?
What about you? What How have you started the week?
As every Monday, I have a new makeup look to show you! Today, the Monday Shadow Challenge gave us an especial prompt: we ought to combine "Peacock colours" and "Black"... sorry, what on Earth does "peacock colour" mean? Well, the admin said that we could use any colour OR combination of colours that recall peacock feathers. So, for today's look I've created a sultry and glamorous look, I hope I rise to the challenge!
